Your animal is very important to us.  Mobile Mongrels LLC would like to assure you that every effort will be made to make your animal's grooming experience as safe and pleasant as possible.  Safety comes first for people as well as the animals during the grooming process.

Current Vaccinations

Any new puppy clients being serviced in our salon must be up to date on all puppy vaccinations.  Adult/senior dogs must be current on Rabies.  Please bring copies of vaccination records for our files or I can call your vet to confrim. You must provide me with current vet information.

Fleas/Ticks:

Your dog must be on a flea preventative in order to receive service.   If your pet has fleas, I will automatically return your pet to you and will not groom them until they are on a flea preventive.  If I happen to find fleas during the bathing process I will just finish process and there will be a $10 fee for an application of Cap Star which kills all active fleas on the pet.  There will also be an additional fee of $30 to cover flea shampoo and the additional clean up time involved to ensure that no fleas are active in the salon.  The treatment will kill active fleas, but this does not address or protect your pet from fleas outside of Mobile Mongrels such as your home or the pet’s area.

Safety:

Safety comes first for everyone in the grooming process- both human and pets.  You must inform us prior to grooming if your pet has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies.  Owners will be held liable for any bites or property damage caused by their pet.  I will stop the grooming process if I feel that the pet’s behavior is compromising his safety or mine.  Prorated charges will apply.  Additionally the following must be adhered to:

·         All pets must be up to date on vaccinations.

·         Untrained pets that are constantlyurinating, or defecatingduring the groom process will be returned to the owner unfinished.  A you will be charged for the services that were preformed..

·         Pets must be healthy and able to support their own body weight

·         Sedation of the pet will not be acceptable due to additional complications that may occur during the grooming process.

Senior Pets and Pets with Health Problems:

Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially to a senior pet or a pet with a health condition.  Grooming can expose hidden medical conditions or aggravate existing ones.  Because these pets have a greater chance of injury, they will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress.  Mobile Mongrels will not be held responsible for any injury sustained during the grooming process of an elderly or health compromised pet.

Inclement Weather/Equipment Failure:

In the event of snow, ice or other severe weather event, Mobile Mongrels will contact you regarding your appointment and possible rescheduling.  Occasionally I may also experience mechanical problems with my mobile unit and in those cases I will also contact you to re-schedule your appointment.

Cancellations or No Call/No Show

A voice message or text message is fine.   Failure to provide 24 hours’ notice of cancellation or failure to provide access to the pet (such as forgetting to leave a key available for the groomer to access the pet) at your scheduled time may result in a 50% of you grooming price fee which must be paid in full prior to your next appointment.

Shave / MATTED DOG RELEASE FORM

Matted coats can cause a variety of skin and health problems. Matted fur does not allow for air circulation to the skin causing hot spots, bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, tickets, maggots, and other parasites may be lurking in the coat causing further skin infections. Matted fur also pulls and binds, causing pain to your pet when they move or lay on mats. The skin underneath is usually raw and inflamed. Matted coats will not dry properly and can lead to rotting fur and skin.

Due to the matting, your dog's hair may need to be shaved extremely short to the skin and may show signs of skin irritation and sores due to the matting, wet undercoat, and dirty undercoat. In order to take care of a dog that has not been groomed often enough, and is matted, the required grooming session may be long, stressful, or painful.

(Please note, more than 1 grooming session may be required.) or if you

if you chooseto brush the matted coat out and reschedule the grooming servicewhen the coat is mat free.  A $30 service that day must be paid at this time because fuel was expended to come to your home.

It is the goal of Mobile Mongrelsto make your pet's grooming experience as stress free as possible.

Due to the condition of your dog's coat, we have determined that the only humane way to do this is to shave the dog's coat down. This is a short clip, removing all the matting. Where feasible, we work to de-mat/brush out the dog's coat, but only when it would not cause excessive pain and suffering to attempt to do so.

There is a strong chance that your pet's skin will become irritated during the clipping process. We will use a medicating shampoo or oilsto help sooth any irritation that may occur. The matted hair rests tightly against the skin and the only way to remove it is to use a short blade clip between the skin and mats. Your dog may possible get nicked and cut because the groomer has to work so closely to the skin to remove the matted coat. Our groomers are very careful but the possibility of injury exists. Understanding these risks, our salon is authorized to proceed with the de-matting process.

Please be sure to schedule a follow up appt. to speak with our groomer for the best methods of maintaining your dog's coat. NOTE: Putting your pet on a scheduled 2, 4, or 6 week maintenance program will limit the need for extra costs such as removing excessive hair growth or the additional work listed above.

I hereby release the Mobile Mongrels LLC and Grooming Staff from any liability associated with the above-mentioned process and any and all medical problems that may be uncovered and/or occur during the stripping and de-matting process.

Should my pet need veterinarian care after or during this process, I agree to pay any and all veterinarian fees.
